Value of Natural Latex

Each rubber tree weeps 15 grams of latex, daily. A Queen size Core needs the daily output of 2500 trees; spread over 12 acres of rubber plantation, providing a living to eight rubber tappers.

Interestingly, these rubber trees accounts for the removal of 143 metric tons of Carbon Di Oxide from the environment every year .This is a genuine contribution to the environment of our suppliers.

Fire Retardant Cores / Sheets

Our Latex Producer has designed and manufactured a Flame Retardant mattress, which conforms to BS and EU Standards. On the tests carried out by SATRA Technology Centre, it was confirmed that FR mattress meet the requirements of Schedule I part III of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988, (amended 1989 & 1993).

In the first application during the test it was observed that there were NO flames after the removal of the flaming source and smouldering ceased after 21 seconds .In the second application, flames self-extinguished 4 seconds after the removal of the flaming source and smouldering ceased 24 seconds later. According to BS standards the time should be less than 60 seconds.
