Terms and conditions:
1.       Cumberland Bedding Company will provide a Guarantee, for all following mattress Collections.
  •          The Budget
  •          The Essex
  •         The Kent (3 Years )
  •         The Surrey (4 Years )
  •       The Wall & Sofa Mattress Collection ( 4 Years )
  •          All “Bargains” " Discounted Items" &/or "sold as seen" items
 
2.      What is covered under this One Year Guarantee?
 
·          This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects relating to the spring, foam, latex or interior fillings of the mattress listed under this One Year Guarantee, From the date on the original invoice issued by Cumberland Bedding Company. 
 
·          Customer is required to produce all original sales invoice to prove evidence of the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.
 
3.      Exclusions of this Guarantee.
 
This Guarantee will not cover:
·          Mattress that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products;
·          Mattress that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care instructions stated herein and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product;
·          Normal wear and tear, body impressions, cuts or scratches, abnormal bending, damage caused by impacts or accidents;
·          Bargain items; or
·          Any mattress without the original sales memo.
 
4.      How does Cumberland Bedding Company determine on any claim for this Guarantee?
 
·          Cumberland Bedding Company will examine the structural manufacturing defects of the mattress as alleged by the customer. After examination of the mattress and consultation with the manufacturer (as needed), Cumberland Bedding Company shall determine in its sole discretion whether the mattress falls under this Guarantee. All decisions by Cumberland Bedding Company shall be final.
 
 
5.      How does this guarantee scheme work?
 
Subject to confirmation that this Guarantee shall apply, Cumberland Bedding Company shall in its sole discretion either repair or replace a defective mattress as follows:
 
Within the first 1 Month from the date of the sales Invoice:
·          Cumberland Bedding Company shall either repair or replace it with a new one of the same or similar model. No credit will be given to any service charges. If the model of the mattress the customer first purchased is discontinued, they may choose a new mattress of a different model. If the customer chooses a more expensive mattress, the customer shall pay the difference. If the customer chooses a cheaper mattress, the balance will be forfeited.
·          The guarantee period of the replacement mattress shall be the balance of the 1 year from the date of first purchase.
·          The mattress under guarantee must be returned to Cumberland Bedding Company at the time of exchange or refund.
·          Cumberland Bedding Company will arrange for the collection and/or delivery, services for the mattresses provided that the collection address is the same as the delivery address and the collection service is rendered at the same time as the delivery. Collection and/or delivery charges will be applicable to all locations Cumberland Bedding Company shall impose such rates of charges and conditions of delivery as it deems fit from time to time.
 
Over 1 Month from the date of the sales Invoice
·        Cumberland Bedding Company will offer a rebate amount, which is based on a fixed percentage of the purchase price of the mattress at the first purchase. No credit will be given to any service charges. The customer can only use the rebate amount to purchase another mattress from Cumberland Bedding Company within the specified period. If the customer chooses a more expensive mattress, the customer shall pay the difference. If the customer chooses a cheaper mattress, the balance will be forfeited.
·        The guarantee period of the replacement mattress shall be the balance of the 1 year from the date of the first purchase.
·        The mattress under guarantee must be returned to Cumberland Bedding Company at the time of exchange or refund.
·        The rebate shall be calculated as follows:

Example:
·        A customer purchased a mattress with this Guarantee at £100 on Aug 1, 2009. If a manufacturing defect is found in Nov 1, 2009 (i.e. 3 Months later), £35 (i.e. £100 x 35%) will be credited to the customer for purchasing a new mattress at Cumberland Bedding Company.
 
·        Cumberland Bedding Company will arrange for the collection and/or delivery, services for the mattresses provided that the collection address is the same as the delivery address and the collection service is rendered at the same time as the delivery. Collection and/or delivery charges will be applicable to all locations Cumberland Bedding Company shall impose such rates of charges and conditions of delivery as it deems fit from time to time.
 
6.      All decisions of Cumberland Bedding Company shall be final.

·          Customer is required to produce all original sales invoice to prove evidence of the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

This Guarantee will not cover:

16.     What is covered under this One Year Guarantee?
 
·          This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects relating to the spring, foam, latex or interior fillings of the mattress listed under this Ten Year Guarantee, From the date on the original invoice issued by Cumberland Bedding Company. 
 
·          Customer is required to produce all original sales invoice to prove evidence of the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.
 
17.     Exclusions of this Guarantee.
 
This Guarantee will not cover:
·          Mattress that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products;
·          Mattress that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care instructions stated herein and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product;

·          This Guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects relating to the spring, foam, latex or interior fillings of the mattress listed under this Twenty Five Year Guarantee, From the date on the original invoice issued by Cumberland Bedding Company. 
 
·          Customer is required to produce all original sales invoice to prove evidence of the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.
 
24.     Exclusions of this Guarantee.
 
This Guarantee will not cover:
·          Mattress that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products;
·          Mattress that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care instructions stated herein and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product;

·        A customer purchased a mattress with this Guarantee at £1000 on Aug 1, 2009. If a manufacturing defect is found in Aug 1, 2015 (i.e. 6 years later), £350 (i.e. £1000 x 35%) will be credited to the customer for purchasing a new mattress at Cumberland Bedding Company.
 
·        Cumberland Bedding Company will arrange for the collection and/or delivery, services for the mattresses provided that the collection address is the same as the delivery address and the collection service is rendered at the same time as the delivery. Collection and/or delivery charges will be applicable to all locations Cumberland Bedding Company shall impose such rates of charges and conditions of delivery as it deems fit from time to time.
 
27.     All decisions of Cumberland Bedding Company shall be final.
