Sprung Edge
A Solid timber frame sourced from sustainable forests, solid preformed legs are used to give the base strength and shape. All supporting struts are placed evenly to give the whole sleeping platform strength. A Bonnell spring is placed on top and then upholstered like a mattress with insulators and fillings; this gives the bed a much softer feel and longer life. The base can be fitted with drawers and can be made in many different heights, please ask before ordering.
Sprung Edge Base with Drawers
A maximum of 4 drawers can be fitted into a double base and two for a single all of which can be placed where you wish, to give a complete finish all drawers are upholstered in the same fabric as the base itself.
Linking Bars
Linking Bars are the strongest way of connecting two half's of the bases together, to do this, simply slide the bar over and tighten with the wing nut-fittings…job done!
Sheppard Castors
The Sheppard castors that we use are made from formed steel; the castors have a glide action and are used for the better classed bed as strength is their forte.
Headboard Bolts
Headboard bolts are fitted to all bases; the option to have two fixings is available for the heavier headboards that we find in the market place.
Base Sides with Padding
The base sides are covered in cardboard and then padded with soft polyester wadding, so the wood cannot be seen no matter how thick the material covering the base is.
Bumper Bars
Formed polyester bump bars upholstered in the same ticking as the base, helpful addition to any base…looks fantastic
